ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR Friday, May 18, 2012:  (B Day Duty)
·         LUNCH:  Meatless Friday!  Cheese Pizza, Vegetarian Stuffed Peppers, California Blend, tossed salad, cupped fruit, milk; Daily Salad Choice:  Vegetarian Salad; Daily Dip Choices:  Hot Cheesy Spinach or Salsa & Bean
·         Did you know that regular runners report an increase in their confidence and self-esteem? Cross Country season is just around the corner. We are currently recruiting rising 6th through 12th graders to be a part of our team. No experience is necessary- we can make a runner out of you! There will be a meeting for all interested and their parents on Tuesday, May 22nd at 6:30 pm in the ACHS Cafeteria.  ALL NEW AND RETURNING MEMBERS should attend.  Hope to see you there!
·         There will be an SCA meeting for all current and new members on Monday, May 21, at 3:30 in Room 208.
·         The Spanish Club will be ordering t shirts.  The shirts will be $6 and the money is due to Mrs. Donghia by May 22.
·         The BON VOYAGE potluck and departure meeting for those going to Paris, France on June 18th, will be held on Wednesday, May 30th at 6:30pm in the ACHS cafeteria.
·         A representative from Neff will be here on Tuesday, May 22, after school in the cafeteria to take orders for ACHS Varsity letter jackets.  Jackets are $170 plus tax and must be paid for in full at time of order.  Order forms are available in the main office.
·         A representative from Herff Jones will be here on Wednesday, May 30, during all three lunch shifts to deliver class rings.
·         Today is the last day to purchase prom tickets.  Tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door tomorrow.
·         After Prom Party tickets are $15. Tickets includes a 2012 After Prom Party t-shirt, an entertaining hypnotist show and chances to win awesome prizes such as an IPad, a 32” flat screen TV, a laptop computer, and much, much more.  Tickets will be sold during all three lunch shifts.  See Mrs. Watson in the main office for more information.

Hall of Fame Nomination
If you know of a deserving candidate to be considered for the Appomattox County Scholastic Sports Hall of Fame, please complete this nomination form.  Return the form to Brad Harper, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director by June 29th.  You can email the form to baharper@appomattox.k12.va.us, fax the form to (434) 352-0822, mail it to ACHS, Attn. Brad Harper, 198 Evergreen Ave, Appomattox, VA  24522 or drop it off at the high school. 

 

School Letter Jackets
On May 22, Tuesday at 3:30 after school in the cafeteria, a representative from the Neff Company will be taking orders for all lettermen who are interested in purchasing a ACHS Varsity wool letter jacket. Here is your opportunity this spring to purchase the highest quality wool letter jacket at price direct from the manufacturer. The base price is $170.00 + sales tax and is due when placing.  Make all checks payable to: The Neff Company.  Use this order form.
